It doesn’t matter if you are a new agent or an experienced agent, For sale by owners are an excellent source of business opportunity. They have raised their hand, and have expressed interest in selling their home.
For most of them, they either had a bad experience with an agent, or they don’t understand what an agent does to earn their commission. Regardless of why they are not using an agent, they are interested in selling their home.
If you really look at the numbers, statistically, most FSBO’s will eventually list with an agent.
FSBO’s are an underserved market. Most agents, in fact, would rather focus on expired listings.
The truth is, the overwhelming majority of FSBO’s are unprepared for the hurdles of selling their property in a timely manner.
As long as you can show your value, converting FSBO’s really isn’t that difficult.
What is difficult however, is creating a scaleable model to be able to handle an influx of FSBO leads, and getting consistent follow up.
